The Addams Family Costume

Our family decided to dress up as the Addams family. My husband dresses up as Gomez. The process for his costume was we went to a local thrift store and found this amazing suit. We colored his hair and made a mustache to look as close to Gomez as we could. I dressed up as Morticia. I went and bought fabric at Wal-Mart and cut out and made my dress to look close to Morticia but with my own touch. Our daughter dressed up as Wednesday. We found a girls uniform and made it look like Wednesdays. We braided her hair and colored it black. We also made the headless doll that Wednesday had. Basically cutting the head off the doll and sowing the dress to look identical to hers. This was my first time using a sowing machine and I have not quite mastered it yet, so I painted on the leggings and shoes on the doll. The rest is fun make up to make up to make us look paler than we are and eye shadow to add the rest of the detail. We had so much fun making and wearing our costumes !
