The Angler Fish Costume

This is my 7 year old son, Owen. Back in May I had a book light laying on the counter and he picked it up and clipped it to his hat and said “hey I’m like one of those fish, what are they called?” So I told him and the idea was born! I looked up inspiration on Pinterest but there were no tutorials so I created this from a picture I used as reference. Lots of cardboard, hot glue, white duct tape paint and of course, led lights. I fastened it to his head with an old bike helmet and zip ties. The eyes were made out of mini cupcake holders painted and instead of a cupcake they held mini led puck lights. It took a good 16 hours (mostly because I had to rework a few things) but it was all worth it!!
