The Book Fairy Costume

My daughter, Josselyn, is wearing this year’s costume creation: the Book Fairy. The whole costume is made out of old books, minus a fabric layer underneath for comfort. I came up with the design after seeing a paper dress made out of phone books on Pinterest. She loves to read, so the book fairy seemed like a logical choice for this year’s costume. She helped me create the skirt. I folded and she glued everything on. Each year, I make her a costume, and this year, she was super excited that she is finally old enough to help. We have so many memories surrounding Halloween. I hope this year’s costume is one for her to remember. She is excited because after Halloween, it has been selected to go on display at our local university library for others to enjoy.
