This homemade costume for families entered our 2015 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Nancy, the 'The Book of Life' costume creator:
Our Family decided to dress up as the characters from the movie The Book of Life. My kids love that movie so I decided to make the costumes. I actually bought my skirt at Savers and fixed it up.
Maria & Chuy - I added the flowers to the top. I added the ribbon and took the skirt in. I cut out ears & added it to a headband along with its tail
Carlos - cut the top out of cardboard, wrapped and decorated it.
Manolo - cut cardboard out, wrapped, decorated it. I also made the guitar out or cardboard and decorated it along with swords
Joaquin - cut cardboard, wrapped it, decorated it. I created every medal on it
We had so much fun dressing up. I have more photos if needed on each costume.
