The Cardboard Mandalorian Costume

This is me wearing my costume of The Mandalorian (with The Child / Baby Yoda) from Star Wars's Disney Plus show.

It is mostly made from cardboard and masking tape. A lot of the cardboard is cut and bent along its natural bend lines and then connected using thick masking tape. Most surfaces are completely covered in the masking tape. The belts are duct tape and masking tape stuck together with each tape's sticky side facing each other. The majority of the pieces like the chest piece and helmet just fit onto me while others like the hand armor or thigh armor hold on to my clothes with strong velcro. The gloves are gardening gloves and the cape is a long fabric that wraps around my neck and is held on with a pin. The armor is painted with dark steel spray paint. The weapons are made from mostly layers of foam board and more masking tape.

The cardboard was free with anything delivered and I already owned the clothing/gloves. With the cape being about $30, the boots being about $20, and the combination of a large amount of the smaller items like tape or paint, I'd say that it costed about $90 to make, but it could definitely be done for less. The Child toy was an extra $30.
