The “Centaur” of attention Costume

I (Terri) am wearing the costume.
My idea came from my astrology sign Sagittarius, which the centaur is the symbol for.

I have wanted to make if for years and finally decided to. I made the frame from pvc pipe and used nuts and bolts for leg and hip joints so legs would bend naturally. (It took a minute to get it right)
But with fishing line hooked to back legs then thru an eye bolt on stomach of centaur then down to my feet, the back legs worked perfectly. I filled in with foam rubber and covered with a fur like material
Used a wig for my tail. And bolted 1/2 of a leather belt to the ends of of each side of pvc pipe frame, to hook it to me.

The but was saggy so I added fishing line to a harness like contraption I made and hooked other end under the tail and it held butt up just like I wanted. I also made bow and arrows homemade a canteen and the clothes I am wearing to match the back of centaur.
I sewed everything together by hand and used a little hot glue but not very much. I’m very happy with the results

My grandkids LOVED it!
All together it cost me less that $100 to make, but I save everything so a lot of materials I had around the house to use.
