The Claw Costume

I(Heather Smith) is wearing the costume. How I came up with the idea is because I have a 3 year old and we can never pass by "The Claw" machine without her walking by without playing. She plays it all the time! Her dad has become an expert at it now. :)

How I made the costume:
I cut the large box on all three sides. Foiled the backside. From the leftover box that I cut out, I created the for the part where the push button, joystick, and arrows go and taped it to the main box. The red push button I used came from my daughters "Lucky Duck" game, the joystick I used is a maraca and for the arrows is paper I printed off from the computer. I then cut a slip into the cardboard for the Dollar bill to slide in and tape it. I used another piece of the box to form the Prize box. The stuff animals all came from my 3 year old's closet. And most of the toys you see we won from the claw machine. I safety pinned the animals you see above my head. How I made the actual claw was pieces from my new blinds which we didn't need. I bent the metal and stretched them out a bit to make the arms of the claw longer and screwed them all together then attached the electrical wire to hold the claw.

This was a very cheap costume to make. I only spent $2.00 and that was for the super glue and the colorful decoration around the front. Very original!
