Day 61: I began joining the casts together, with tape, foam and spray adhesive. Purple fabric was hot-glued on to make his pants. Three different colors of spray paint were used for texturing.

Photo #1 - Day 68: Finish! Cut up the spine to get inside. (sealed with velcro) White fabric hot-glued on for ripped shirt effect. Photo #2 - I had to build an armature first. Pic is 3 days into the build. I used styrofoam, expandable foam, and PVC to build the frame. I began adding insulation to the frame. (note the fuzzy feet) Photo #3 - Day 7: I began adding paper mache (glue, flour and water to newspaper) to the insulation. It's at this point I realized I made the shoulders too wide. Many alterations soon followed. Photo #4 - Day 19: 'Monster mud' was added to paper mache to strengthen the armature. (MM is five parts dry wall putty one part exterior latex paint. In this case...green.) I had placed a temporary head made of foam to give me an idea where the neck muscles will go Photo #5 - Day 34: Sculpted the legs with water-based clay and began making their molds using silicone. (The pink stuff on his right leg.) Photo #6 - Day 40: Chest and back were sculpted in clay. Silicone and 'Plasti-paste' (off yellow stuff) was used to make the hard outer shell. Photo #7 - Day 52: Molds were taken off, cleaned and coated with tinted liquid latex (green) and then had expandable foam added for strength and shape. Photo #8 - Day 55: Foam rubber was added to reinforce the costume, and stilts were put inside the legs to make me tall enough to see out his mouth. (See green leg) Photo #9 - Day 61: I began joining the casts together, with tape, foam and spray adhesive. Purple fabric was hot-glued on to make his pants. Three different colors of spray paint were used for texturing. Photo #10 - Day 62: Same steps were used to make the head. In addition, clear resin tinted for the teeth, synthetic hair glued on in layers. I bought his glass eyes. (I could look out his mouth to see, but I used a paint can to hold up the head for the pic.)
