This homemade costume for girls entered our 2017 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Tierra, the 'The lil Mermaid' costume creator:
My daughter T'Kaia is wearing the costume. She loves mermaids so it was her idea. I made the entire costume. The wig is crocheted ombre hair. The fabric and tulle is from Joann's. The seashells are from Hobby Lobby but I painted each one. The base of her necklace is my old necklace that broke. The crown I made with stem wire, a link chain, seashells, rhinestones, and balsa wood to hold the seashells. I have a sewing machine and sewed the outfit from scratch. The crown and necklace I made with alot of hot glue.
