The Mad Hatter Costume

I love Halloween and coming up with fun and unique costumes for my grand-dogs (Old English Bulldogs). This is one of my favorites and so easy to make. I made the hat form out of poster board and then covered it with material I found that had an "old leather look" to it. Next, I searched for old, unique hat pins, added peacock feathers and burnt the edges of the tag. A sash was added around the base of the hat and I made a neck tie. To complete the look, I tucked in some "wild, red hair" I cut off a doll I found at a thrift store! Very little sewing required and a glue gun is a must!
