The Mop Lady Costume

This is myself in the costume. My inspiration came from Carol Brunette's "The Mop Lady" or "The Cleaning Lady" from the famous "The Carol Burnette Comedy Hour" that was popular in the 1970's. I watched her show every Saturday night, when I was a child. Most of my costume came straight out of my own closet. I save out of date clothing for times just like this. My tip would be to carry a pic of her dressed like this character, so the younger crowd will see who you are dressed as and how close you came to portraying the character.
