The Pats of HB2 Costume

Myself and my wife are dressed as the "Pats of HB2".

We live in NC, the state where the HB2 is so controversial. Pat McCrory was the Mayor of our city before he became Governor. We have also been lifetime fans of SNL and loved the skit "It's Pat" from the 90's. We thought the idea of coming as "The Pats of HB2" would lighten the mood around this controversal topic.

For "It's Pat"-We purchased a blue button up shirt and drew the pattern for Pat's shirt in with a black sharpie. We found the belt, wig, and "whatever" sign online. The glasses we found at a party store for a nerd costume. We just removed the white tape from the frames. My wife wore large khaki pants and stuffed them with a towel to appear larger and less feminine.

For Pat McCrory-I used a suit I had in my closet with a basic white button up. The tie I found at a thrift shop. We sprayed my hair brown and penciled in my eyebrows. The glasses we found online at a party shop. The sign we printed up online and glued to cardboard, attached a stick to the back, and stuck it in the coat pocket.
