A word from Otilia, the 'The Queen of Heck' costume creator:
The person featured in these photos are me. This idea had been floating around in my head for a couple years until i was finally able to bring her to life. The idea was to debut "The Queen of Heck" during Halloween and then reuse the legs, along with an ugly holiday sweater to debut "Krampus Jr." during the Yuletide season. The legs were made from an old pair of leggings, upholstery foam, hot glue, plastic wrap, faux fur as well as slidey soft fabric, and a good old fashioned needle and thread (the legs were hand stitched). I measured out and cut triangular pieces of the foam to my specific needs. I then hot glued then to my knees/calves/ ankles. I covered the foam in slidey soft fabric so rhat it would be able to move easier under the final layer. I wrapped my pelvis and one leg in plastic wrap to make a template to cut the fur. After everything, i sewed it together. The horns are a lightweight foam attatched to an adjustable headband. The jacket was store bought and the bikini top underneath was brought back to life after being found at a yardsale.
When these pictures were taken, i was going to enter a costume contest at a local tattoo shop. I had misread the times and had showed up an hour late. When i entered the shop, jaws dropped and people stared me up and down. The girls behind the counter told me had i showed up sooner that i would have, without a doubt, won. The compliments ranged from pictures to a waiter at the restaurant we went to afterward wanted me to give him some pointers on making World of Warcraft armor.
