The Smurfs Costume

My husband and I have been attending this same Halloween Party for the past 11 years. The bar is set fairly high since we all are competitive when it comes to winning "The Halloweeney" trophy. It takes months of Brainstorming, researching, and going back and forth each year before the final decision. We have won the trophy 7 of the 11 years this party has been held. This year I went out on the search for the little white dress, and Papa Smurfs Red Pants all of which I found at second hand stores. The paint I got at a theatrical store and it was a process as we started our body paint at 1pm....party started at 8pm. We had to apply makeup then let it cure before applying a setting product so as we sweat and danced the blue wouldn't run off us. The wigs we bought at a locally owned Halloween store along with his red suspenders, the white heels, the stripped hose, and his beard. Papa's Boots we spray painted an old pair black. It was a fun costume, and obviously a Hit at the party....as we won the Halloweeney Trophy yet again!
