The Trophy Case Costume

This was the theme we went with for our work Halloween contest this year. We decided to be trophies. It was my daughter’s idea after she saw it on Pinterest several years ago. I found super cheap sports clothes on the closeout section of the Epic Sports website. We spray painted them gold, which took forever and used a ton of spray paint!!! We used about 8 cans! I went around to different thrift stores and got the sports equipment and spray painted that too. The stands were computer paper box lids with reams of paper under them so they wouldn’t cave in when we stood on them. I wrapped them in black wrapping paper, cut the fronts out of gold poster board from Hobby Lobby, and cut the letters out of cardstock with my Cricut. We used Graftobian Metal Mania gold makeup. This stuff is amazing!!! A little goes a long way. I only used about half a container to paint the front of all 7 of us. The Magic Set liquid that is used with it is not enough but I used rubbing alcohol to mix it with and it worked just fine, so I could’ve just not ordered the liquid. I also used Graftobian color spray in gold for our hair and it was also awesome! This was a neat and fun costume!!!
