The Wicked Claw Machine Costume

My son Legend wanted to wear a box. That was his only request at the time. So a claw machine sounded like a great idea! I started with a large cardboard box, taped the flaps together and painted it black. I added suspenders to the box so all he had to do was attach them to himself to have free hands. I added extra cardboard to the top of the box. Painted “wicked” on it and added foam “claw” letters. We added Halloween stickers and battery operated lights. I added LED lit skulls. I attached a cardboard shelf on the inside and put spider webs with toys on top. To make the claw I hung a plastic cup covered in aluminum foil with aluminum foil claws with fishing line to the top. I added a painted black box to the front which opened from the top ( to put his candy in) and glued an Atari controller to the top of it. I decorated it with candy corn a countdown timer, “will work for candy” sign, money slots used yard sale stickers for the price and Halloween stickers. I wrapped the box with Halloween caution tape. Where the toy is supposed to come out I painted a cleaning glove flesh colored and made it look like it was coming out to get ya! My son loved it!!!
