This homemade costume for kids entered our 2012 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Sarah, the 'The 4 Aces' costume creator:
My four children are wearing the costumes. Needed something quick and easy with four kids under the age of 5.
Supplies:
4 pillow cases (one was travel size)
Fabric paint
masking tape
Directions:
For the face of the cards each pillow case was painted with the appropriate Ace (heart, diamond, club and spade). The backs of the card, I taped off the boarder, then splattered the fabric paint to create a design. Cut the seams for their heads and arms, with the exception for the baby, I made it more of a cape so I could carry her in the front carrier.
Cost:
$5.00 for the pillow cases
Paint and tape I already had on hand.
