The Little Mermaid Costume

I made this costume for myself. I've wanted to be a mermaid for Halloween every year since I was little and never did, until now! I made the costume myself using nothing but a glue gun and patience.
The "seashell" bra was a plain, purple bra that I just so happened to come across at a department store. I purchased glitter, fabric glue, rhinestones, pearls, sea shells, and star fish from Michaels. I started by smoothing out fabric glue all over the bra and then covering it in purple glitter. After it dried, I randomly hot glued rhinestones, pearls, and shells all over.
For the tail, I found a inexpensive jersey pencil skirt from H&M and two tutus from Claire's (Buy one get one half off! Woo!) I hot glued the first tutu to the bottom of the pencil skirt, and then glued the second tutu under the first. I finished it up by adding more rhinestones to the top of the skirt just to make it more sparkly and fun!
I even made sure my hair was extra "Mermaidy" and since I had a star fish left over, I made a hair clip.

And VOILA! :)
