Thor Costume

Thor goddess of Thunder picked up the hammer only within the last year. Since then she has battled for the good of Asgard and Earth.

This costume took me about 3 months to make. The helmet and breast plate are both made from warbla covered in epoxy sculpt. I spent every evening for two week straight sanding down and resculpting the pieces to get them into just the right shape and smoothed out. They are colored by car enamel paint to give it a realistic shine.

The cape is a very light weight red fabric so that it would easily pick up in the wind and flow nicely while I walk.

For the loin cloth and belts I used real leather. The loin cloth is a suede while the belts are made from hide. The large silver circle on it are also leather which I stamped and then colored with silver rub. The leather is stained to a dark brown.
