A word from Alina, the 'Unicorn' costume creator:
This is Alina Ludian, and my idea was to just make a fun costume for Halloween 2016 that little kids wouldn't be scared of, but also to cost the least money. I used material around my house to make a cute unicorn costume. To make this costume, you need to take an elastic band, match it to the size of your waist, and cut and sew/hot glue it to that size. After you have finished, take the toul fabric and start to make knots along the elastic band. For the tail, take a simple hair clip and hot glue pieces of rainbow felt to the hair clip. For the ears, you cut 4 shapes of felt (white) to the size of ears, and 2 smaller pieces (pink) to be the inside of the ear. You can then hot glue the pink pieces to 2 white pieces, and then grab some poly-fill, (toy stuffing), and stiff the ears, and then you may glue them together. For the horn, you will need to cut 2 long pieces of white felt, and stuff and hot glue them together. You may then take pieces of rainbow felt and hot glue them onto the horn in the order of the colors of the rainbow. You can then glue all of the pieces onto a head band. For the shirt and leggings, I just used some clothes I already had in my closet. Overall, this costume cost me nothing, because I already have all the materials at my house. If you did have to buy all the materials for this costume it would cost you no less than $10.
