This homemade costume for women entered our 2019 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Ann, the 'Ursula' costume creator:
The Little Mermaid is my favourite Disney movie. I wanted to make an Ursula costume that my students would love. I sewed 8 tentacles black on one side and purple on the other and used a black marker to draw circles for suction cups. I used purple body paint to get the right skin look and tried to apply face make up to match Ursulas. I ordered a white wig and applied grey hair dye/spray to get the same grey streaks.
I 3D printed a seashell necklace and drilled holes for a strip of yellow LED lights so the necklace would light up. I painted the shell gold colour. I tucked my cell phone in the side of my dress and had the recording of Ariels voice singing as I walked through the halls. The kids loved it. I LOVE HALLOWEEN!
