This homemade costume for women entered our 2013 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Kristen, the 'Ursula' costume creator:
I adore being a villain once (ok several times) a year. Ursula the Sea Witch from the Little Mermaid this year fit the bill.
I built the tentacles from tulle and EL wire which is battery operated and glows in the dark. I made the trident with a dowel rod, the top of a red devil pitchfork, wood putty, rope, and spray paint.
Add a great wig and and a little makeup and you've got a witch!
