Van Gogh and his Masterpiece Couple's Costume

My boyfriend was Van Gogh with his ear cut off and I was a culmination of Van Gogh's most famous art works. Very easy costume and I have never gotten so many compliments at a halloween party ever. All he needed was a large coat, gauze an old pipe and a few face paint crayons (we drew a little blood on his gauze for humor with a red sharpie marker). The coat was from a thrift store and the gauze / face paint was from The 99c Store. He already had the pipe. My sparkly dress was from a thrift store with a simplified painting of Starry Night on it. My make up was all done with face paint crayons and a few stick on gemstones. The sunflower headpiece was made from a few bunches of fake sunflowers. We even scored some fake severed ears at the Dollar Tree. All in all probably cost $20 combined.
