A word from Heather, the 'Vault Dweller in Cultist Outfit' costume creator:
Heather Quaid is wearing the costume. I got the ideal from a game called Fallout 76. The first part of the costume was the head piece it is made from a child knight helmet I took apart, and a skull mask , the jaw piece was made from craft foam.It was glued together them I paint the head piece I added strips of coffee and tea dyed fabric to the outside some pieces where glued, some where sewed on by hand. To finish the piece I added deer antlers which I sawed off a deer skull I had. I wrapped hemp cord around the head and added black fabric to finish the look. The outfit top was made from a tank top pattern and the pant were made from a pattern too. Before sewing the patterns together I sewed strip of coffee and tea dyed fabric on one by one to finish the aged fabric look. On the top I added a front and back cover I hand painted with coffee I add hemp strings to the front and on the back I make a spin out of craft foam. I made the belt out of fabric and craft foam. The pouches are hand made too. The dagger is craft foam and a paint stir stick and I painted the blade with finger polish to make it look like stone.Too finish the look I add hemp string. I made the arm pieces from the dyed fabric strips sewing the together to make a sleeve. The wood pieces on the top of the arm was sticks I found I my yard. I sewed them on fabric and I also made a wrist cover to. The Pipboy on my arm was made from a cardboard tube I cut plastic note card holders into squares and then glued them on. I used a plastic drink bottle for the screen cover to have a picture under the screen I had a photo made and placed it under it. Then I covered in lots of craft foam. I added buttons, knob, brads,a ponytail holder, wire to finish the Pipboy the then I hand painted the whole thing. I also make a radroach from a 2 liter soda bottle I cut off the bottom and flatted that end I used craft foam to cover the body and I made the head out of foam to I add wire to the antennae to make them stand up. I also took a toy truck apart and add it to the roach so I could pull it behinds me. I also made a Nukacola out of a drink bottle and cardboard and bottle cap. I cut the cardboard into rocket foils and glued them to the bottles,I cut off some of the top of the bottle add the bottle cap. I hand drew the label and colored it I painted the bottle by hand added the label and it was done. I also made glowing mushrooms using plastic Easter eggs and dowel rods.
