Venus Flytrap Costume

My son Dylan is wearing the costume. He loves bugs and carnivorous plants so this is what we came up with. I used foam for most of the costume. I wrapped foam around two PVC hoops we created for the top and bottom of the pot. I glued sports jersey fabric into the mouth of the plant which is easy to see through. I hot glued bugs to the pot and used floral wire to attach flies to the costume so it looks like they are flying around the mouth. Suspenders were used to attach the pot to my son's shoulders.
