Sonic the Hedgehog Costume

I recently cut my hair short and wanted to wear a costume that i could do something cool with it. I thought of sonic when I was blow drying my hair one day and it was standing straight up. I thought it looked like sonic and jumped on the idea.

The hair: I used Got2B glue to spike it up into a mohawk and sprayed it with blue hairspray - $6

The face: I used 2 different color blues and blended them with white and black to get a dimensional color across my forehead and eyes - $5

The outfit: I found the vest and leggings separately on Amazon. The shoes are a hightop wedge I found on ebay, but there were a ton of choices on amazon as well. The gloves are from the dollar store and I cut the fingers off to look a little more edgy than cartoony. Vest $50, Leggings $15, Shoes $50, Gloves $1

Accessories: I spray painted a hulahoop gold to be like rings sonic collects in the game. I also thought of getting little beanie baby animals like when Sonic saves the animals from being robots, but decided it would be too much to handle at the bar - still a good idea though. I wore a gold bracelet and hoop earrings (not pictured) and a neon ring necklace to make me look fast! Hula hoop $2, Spray paint $5, Neon ring $5, everything else I had on hand.

Overall: $139 (But easily done on the cheap if you find cheaper shoes and vest)
