A word from Tammy, the 'Voodoo Princess' costume creator:
This is my voodoo princess! This costume was made in approximately 100 hours. Working our ideas of our own to construct. I used materials I had in my craft box that I use yearly. Some materials are parts of other costumes and very few materials were needed to be purchased. I got my ideas from viewing ideas on Pinterest and other costume websites I investigated. This is an original! The headpiece is constructed from feathers from our bird "Rembrandt", who is a blue and gold macaw. He is a family pet that is 25 years old. The feathers that I used were approximately 4 years of molted feathers he gave me. The breast plate is made of shells and some ghoul head. The necklace are real chicken bones from our dinners. Arm decoration is made of an old curtain shredded and decorated. When we walked into the public party every person in the place turned to look and before we knew it I had a line of people wanting to take my picture. The eyes are my ghoul contacts I use frequently for my costumes. Half the fun of Halloween is constructing our costumes!!! We had a great time making it, as well as showing it off at the party we attended! This costume won me a nights stay at a nice hotel in the champagne suit! Well worth all the hard work!! Hope you like it!!! HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!
