WAP Costume

Cardi B blessed us with not only her incredible lyrics, but stunning outfits in her music video for "WAP". I was inspired by the look she sported in her leopard print bodysuit, paired with the chain links in her hair and wanted to recreate it. The links took about six hours to make but when it comes down to it, the base is quite simple: they're Styrofoam wreaths from Amazon. I used kanekalon hair and tightly wrapped it around each link but left an opening to connect them. I sealed each one by using a lighter to get rid of loose hair and then sprayed them with Got2b to give them a sheen. I have a buzz cut so I had to glue down a wig and loop the links through a high bun. The rest was fairly easy but obviously, this look comes down to emulating Cardi's fierce and sexy attitude in this video.
