Water Fountain Statues Costume

We obviously live for Halloween!!! We always go big, as if we are walking art installations. My fiancè and I had just got back from Paris, so all the amazing centuries old statues were on our mind. We are ancient statues with water fountains up top and bottom. The birds are drinking from our water on top. This was a hard one to make, ha. I made everything with shipping brown paper, staples, glue gun, I made our dress outfits, hardened them with fabric hardner, fake water, crystal beads strands, also our fake hair. Used resin, cellophane, and dye to give bottom fountain the sparkling vibe, added with lights in each fountain. It was hard using resin to try and do the actual falls from up top, so I used crystal beads to give the flowing effect.
I painted everything, clothes, fake marble, our skin, to look like aged statues. I made our hair out of yarn, actually made yarn wigs from spools of yarn, to give a sculpted vibe. AND we stayed in character ALL night, the public went nuts as we roamed West Hollywood, barely had to time to catch our breaths from all the pics that were taken. But as usual, we had the best time ever. This took me about a week to make, and proudly sporting glue gun burns to show for it!
