This homemade costume for boys entered our 2015 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Nithya, the 'Water-Hero' costume creator:
WaterHERO avatar saves California from drought. The whole idea of the costume is insisting everyone not to waste water, and to save water.
How I made this costume:
1. Store bought full sleeve t-shirt in blue color - I had cut the star shape and letter "W" in felt, and stitched it to the front.
2. SuperHero Cape - Individual pieces - the water drops and hands are cut in felt and stitched to the blue felt cape(cape is also store bought)
3. The hand bands, and regular pants are accessorised with water drops.
4. I used red felt to cut out the letters - "Save Water!" and stitched it to the front of the cape.
