Weeping Cemetery Angel Costume

The costume I created this year is a Weeping Cemetery Angel. Every year I challenge myself to create a unique handmade costume for our annual Halloween Party. This costume was created using foam board for the wings which I etched using a wood burning tool then painted to create a shadowy look. I also hand painted the dress using various gray tones to create a realistic statue like effect . The wig was painted in the same fashion and hot glued into a bun shape at the neck. I u my body with gray body paint and created a spooky makeup look that appears as if my eyes are open even when they are closed . We then took pictures in an old Civil War Cemetery to add to the eerie feel . It was definitely a challenge to pull off but also a lot of fun . Happy Halloween!
