This homemade costume for boys entered our 2012 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Genevieve, the 'Trooper Austin' costume creator:
Austin and Trooper Basanese of the Michigan State Police, who joined our local Home Depot in making this amazing police car to go around Austin's wheelchair. We contacted Home Depot to get a refrigerator box to make our own, and they ran with it and made it better than our wildest dreams!!! The car is made from luan and insulation to make the frame work and was held on by clamps. Touchlights were used for the headlights and the bubble light on top was an insulated cup turned upside down and a small flashlight inside.
