Witch Doctor and Pets Costume

My witch doctor costume is handmade with fabric and materials I already had or got from Walmart. I took a black maxi skirt and cut it into the shape I wanted and a white tank top and sprade it with brown fabric spray to make it look dirty. The horns on my headpiece are paper mached and glued onto a thick headband with lots of feathers and misc stuff glued to it. My youngest daughter's VooDoo doll dress is made from burlap material, and painted craft sticks and balls to look like pins. We layerd leggings and a long sleeve shirt under to help with the itchiness of the burlap. I did both of our makeup applications. My husband made his owl mask and my older daughter's rabbit mask with paper mache and paint. Her Cape is a blanket that he sewed a hood shape into. Materials cost about $75 and we worked on costumes for about 2 months.
