A word from Jennifer, the 'Alien Abduction Illusion' costume creator:
This is a homemade costume using simple materials and a few store bought things. It cost less than $25 to make and took about 30 mins. to construct once all materials were put together. My son, S.T., is wearing the costume. He is 9 yrs. old. He wanted something "different" and to create an optical illusion for people. We also wanted to make it "gore free," so that he could wear it to school and family type events. The dnd result is creepy her fun all at the same time . We are very pleased with it. We used the following materials: black sweatpants/shirt (had at home), black backpack bought at Wal-Mart for $5, black Men's Long sleeve shirt (had at home), black hooded Cape at Wal-Mart for $10, an alien mask bought at Wal-Mart for $5, alien handed gloves from Halloween City for $3, a lacrosse stick (had at home), a child's arm floaty (had at home), the top of an infaltable pool mat (had at home), flores one piece p. j.'s (had at home), poli fill at Wal-Mart for $3, and lots of safety pins and duck tape. The process was simple and created a light weight pack for my son to walk with.
