This homemade costume for couples entered our 2013 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Rob, the 'American Gothic' costume creator:
My wife and I capturing the essence of artistic history. She made her dress and the rest was purchased at a thrift shop. I painted the background, cut it in half and attached them to sticks so we could pose at any given time but not have to carry it all night behind us. We won best costume at the party.
