This homemade costume for girls entered our 2013 Halloween Costume Contest.

A word from Jenica, the 'Medusa' costume creator:

This year my niece called me up and asked if I could make her a Medusa costume. I used the costume tips given by Jill T. for her son's awesome Medusa costume. I think it turned out great and my niece was totally thrilled with it. She's out trick or treating as I type this!

I've been sewing since I was 5 (so that's for 54 yrs) and I think your version of Jill's costume is AMAZING!!! Wouldn't be able to pick which one is better so let's just call it tie!! Your girl made a "BEAUTIFULLY SCARY " Medusa and Jill's son made a equally SCARY MANdusa. LOL One Halloween BOTH of my 2 sons 5 & 8 yrs, wanted to be ninja turtles. They didn't have any official NT patterns but I found a Superman one that would work great just subistuting green for tan fabric. OMG I had NO idea how much WORK it was making those ARM & LEG MUSCLES .......I had to pull a few all nighters to get them done in time!!! The next year I was soooo greatfull they said "Mommy can we be Ninja Turtles AGAIN those costumes were so cool!!
