Phoenix Costume

My name is Linda and I was a Phoenix. The initial idea was something with wings and mythical. I used a dress from a previous costume and spray painted it red and painted flames among the bottom, adding feathers and twisting ribbon to make flames. I bought feathers online and hot glued them to a fabric top edge base, layering them for a flamey effect. The wings are simply strapped onto my arms with fabric loops. The wig was back combed, cut, painted and had feathers added as well. Face paint is FX Halloween paint, eye liner, etc. I had gone though some stuff during the year, and a Phoenix rising from the ashes made sense.
