Genie on a Magic Flying Carpet Costume

My daughter Amanda is wearing this illusion costume of a genie on a magical flying carpet. I saw a version of this on Pinterest and decided to make it for my daughter. When she walks, it gives the illusion that she is sitting on a flying carpet. I used foam board and cut a hole inthe middle of it with a slit down the back for her to slide in and out of. I used stuffed tights and harem pants to make fake legs. I reinforced the bottom of the board with dowel rods to make it sturdy. It is covered first with foam and then with material and tassels. I left space under foam to put some weights to balance out the legs. The final touch was glueing the genie lamp to the front and using dry ice to make smoke come out of the spout! It was a fun costume to make and a sure head turner! :)
