A word from Sherry, the 'Ghostbusters' costume creator:
Each year we have Trunk or treat at our church so we try to come up with a theme so we can dress up as a group. This year my son is into Ghostbusters so that is what we chose. My son and I dressed as Ghostbusters and my fiancé dressed as The Stay Puft Marshmellow Man.
We got our closet from the goodwill(scrub pants and luckily found some khaki colored shirts), a couple of belts from goodwill too. I used black duct tape on the pocket and used red paint to paint our name. I printed off Ghostbusters logo and ID Badges laminated them and used safety pins to attach to our shirts.
The goggles are made using protective goggles and I glued clear culinder containers on them and sprayed with brown and black spray paint.
The proton packs I made using old backpacks and puttin them inside a box from a laptop. I cut small slots and pulled the straps through so that's all that is show on outside of box. Then I used black duck tape and taped on odds and ends found around the house. Added a few pieces of wires found around the house and sprayed it all with black spray paint. Then added cheap little guns from goodwill sprayed black.
We wore black boots/shoes and gloves with finders cut out.
The stay Puft costume was just white painters pants and white chef jacket bought at goodwill. For the collar I cut a blue tshirt and slipped it over his head. Added red ties.
