Ice Cream Man Costume

My 12 year old son and I love Halloween and our most thrilling event is scarying all of the candy seekers that are clearly too big to be trick-or-treating. It’s all in good fun though. He came up with this years costume from the creation from Face-Off. Matt’s candy themed challenge. Brilliant! So what he wants to be I have to create!!
The cones were made from cork poster board with hot glue and paint to add dimension. Then the hot fudge was created using silicone chalking and brown paint while using Great Stuff foam crack filler for the ice cream. Once it was all attached I used a blow torch to roast it all to give it a roasted marshmallow effect. (All done in my living room) 😳😂
His coin dispenser was made from old small flashlights zip tied together and spray painted silver. Then attached to a belt pocket they clips on. Whatever works, right!! 🤪
But the costume all came together when my very talented niece Makinlee Philpot (insta: makphilllyy22) an undiscovered self taught make-up queen, created his creepy face. He was completely unrecognizable. She used molding clay and latex to create his chin and scar wax to build up his skin folds and wrinkles that we later covered in candy sprinkles. He was terrifying and once the yellow contacts were added the Ice Cream Man was complete.
