Pennywise and Georgie Costume

My son Lucas (6) loves Pennywise and asked to be him for Halloween this year. I couldn’t find anything his size online so I decided to make it. Soon after the decision, we found the yellow rain coat at a garage sale and my daughter Zoey (3) agreed to be Georgie. The pennywise costume is primarily a fitted sheet. I used corners of the sheet as the “puffy” shoulders and puffy part of the pants (I put tissue paper inside the puffy parts to make it stay a little better) and rubber bands to hold the next puffy section into place. The firearms and legs are the flat part of the sheet just folded over back and forth a few times then ironed to get them to stay, but then Reinforced with duct tape on the insides bc it wouldn’t stay without it. The ruffles are simply tule and fabric from old dresses. The shoes are actually rain boots, I cut them to make a tongue and drilled holes to put laces in. For both Pennywise and Georgie shoes I painted with acrylic paint. The wig was originally a “crazy hair” wig that I cut up into princes and gorilla glued to a bald cap the way I wanted. I used spirit gum to get it to stick and normal Halloween makeup for the rest. I used toilet paper on the forehead portion to Make the seem of the bald cap not seem so apparent. Then we simply added some balloons for the finishing touch
