A word from Rae-Anna, the 'Raggedy Ann' costume creator:
My 9 month old daughter's 1st Halloween. I made her costume (everything but the shoes) with an out of print pattern, a skein on yarn, white tights, a knit hat, felt, and spray paint. Followed the pattern as directed, hand embroidered the pinafore. Made the wig by looping the yarn thru the holes and cutting. Made the tights by putting masking tape around the legs and spray painting red. Made her "arms" by sewing two pieces of felt together. She ended up taking them off. Spent about $25 I think. I also made my stepdaughter's apron and hat, which are also in the picture.
