TMNT Leonardo Costume

Xavier is my 7 year old nephew. When he saw my sons Raphael costume he asked if i can make him one.

Front & back shells, elbow & knee pads, belt, and mask were all made from felt by the yard. Front and back shell were attached using elastic.

We couldn't find green sweats and sweat shirt in time so we compromised by dying a pair of Walmart thermal set with kelly green dye. I boiled water added salt. Then added liquid kelly green dye and stirred. I added the thermals and let sit on the stove for 20 mins. I than ran the set in the wash without detergent. than rinse cycle and one last time washed with detergent.

Leonardo isnt complete without a katana or two :)
